Intending Pilgrims from Al-Aliyah Hajj and Humrah Limited have been tasked to avoid
argument and have a high sense of responsibility during the Hajj exercise for spiritual
upliftment
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Saheed Babatunde popularly known
as Mr. Sport, stated this during the prayer and sensitization of pilgrims travelling under
the auspices of the company so as to intimate them of the conduct expected of them at
the holy land.
The enlightenment exercise, which held at the corporate head office of the company on
Sunday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital attracted hundreds of intending pilgrims.
The ace broadcaster, quoting conspicuously from Al-Quran and Haddith said that
“Usually, argument is a negative act, which is why Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon
him) warns us against being argumentative”
He added that a segment would be sponsored on his programme on Success F.M.
105.3 where intending pilgrims would be heard life and direct from Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the intending pilgrims, the resource person at the event, Alhaji Raji
Muideen Abiodun noted that it is expected of them to adhere strictly to all the laid down
principles governing hajj activities and cautioned them against negative activities that
can tarnish the image of Al-Aliyah Hajj & Humrah Limited, Oyo State and Nigeria in
general.
He urged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria. Noting that they are in the best
position to correct whatever negative notion any nation might have had about Nigeria.
Prayers were later offered for intending pilgrims.
One of the intending pilgrims, Mogaji Saheed Adeyemo also known as Sanjay told our
correspondent that the programme has reduced some of the challenges pilgrims faced
during hajj. He advised them to follow all the dos and don’ts the programme has availed
them of.
